Global Collection (952)

So, what does a collector do, when s/he starts to approach 100% completion? Think up new ways to collect, of course. An interesting idea that has burned its way through social media sites is that of global collecting.
A collector fancies a certain card, maybe because of its artwork, maybe because of its popularity, maybe because it was THE card that won that fierce battle or maybe because it haunts your dreams, endlessly staring, staring, staring at you with unblinking eyes. At any rate, that card now becomes an obsession, where s/he must gather a copy of every version, in every language, in every edition.
For me, there are quite a few cards that I am pursuing a global collection of, for one or more of the reasons listed above.
